Carpenter
The Carpenter is primarily responsible for building items and units according to the drawn plans. They are responsible for working with the Head Carpenter to keep all active projects on time. The Carpenter is also responsible for continuously and consistently working towards improving shop processes and standards. The Carpenter reports directly to the Head Carpenter and works in parallel with other carpenters, fabricators, and painters.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $25 per hour
Conditions: 40 hours of work expected per week
Paid Time Off: 10 days of PTO to be used at the Employee’s discretion; approval required.
Benefits: Employee health, dental, vision , and matching 401k plan after 90 days.
Job Responsibilities
Continuously and Consistently work towards improving shop processes and standards
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
Build items and units according to the drawn plans
Make parts (or use CNC parts), assemble, and prepare for paint
Work with other technicians to help coordinate best order of operations per project
Participate in fit-ups, installation, truck loading, and other logistics
Maintain shop tools according to standards and direction
Participate in daily clean up practices
Communicate effectively with supervisor and colleagues to encourage an efficient work flow
